No representative of the Estonian government made such statements. Propaganda simply made up this news
«A blow to the dictatorship, from which they are unlikely to recover». With such words, according to Russian propagandists, Estonia allegedly banned all guests of the military parade in Beijing from entering the country. The event, which took place on September 3 in honor of the 80th anniversary of Japan’s defeat in World War II, was attended by, among others, Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

But this news is fake. A search in credible international media and Estonian websites revealed that none of the Estonian government representatives announced a ban on entry into the country for participants or guests of the military parade in Beijing. It is only known that several ambassadors from EU countries discussed boycotting the parade due to the presence of war criminal Vladimir Putin at it. Some decided not to participate in the event, while others deliberately planned vacations for these dates. However, it is unclear whether a representative of Estonia was among these ambassadors. The country’s government has not officially commented on the event. However, this year’s May 9 parade in Moscow was officially condemned by the Estonian government: the country’s Foreign Minister Margus Tsakhkna stated that the country does not support the event in any way and strictly prohibited the use of Estonian airspace for trips to the parade. The state did not issue permission to VIP flights from Cuba and Brazil that planned to attend the event.
Estonia is often a target of Russian propaganda due to the state’s unwavering support for Ukraine.
