A fake video with a helicopter allegedly shot down in Slavyansk is spreading in Internet. The video has had several thousand views already, and is used as a reference by several news sites in their reports about Slavyansk.


In truth the video shows a Russian Ka-52 combat helicopter that crashed near the Zhulebino district in Moscow on October 29, 2013.

None the less, two Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopters were indeed shot down in Slavyansk, and one Mi-8 helicopter was damaged. According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, two men died and several got injured in the aftermath of the incidents.
