The story was invented by the Foundation to Battle Injustice, a propaganda organization created by Yevgeny Prigozhin. The photograph of the injured waiter was AI-generated, and the restaurant denied both the incident itself and that Zelensky’s daughter ever visited the establishment.
A story circulating in both Russian- and English-language media claims that the president’s daughter, Oleksandra Zelenska, attacked a waiter at the London restaurant The Ledbury after he refused to indulge her demands. Her bodyguards allegedly intervened in the altercation and beat the man so severely that he has been left permanently disabled, then forced him into silence about his injuries.
The story spreading rapidly online is entirely fabricated. We contacted The Ledbury, where the incident supposedly occurred, and its representatives promptly confirmed that no such altercation had been recorded at the establishment. Furthermore, Volodymyr Zelensky’s daughter has never dined at The Ledbury at all. The photograph of the “injured waiter” used in the video was AI-generated. We have previously explained why the verdicts of AI detectors should be treated with caution, but in this case the conclusion is unambiguous: all four tools we used to examine the image — SightEngine, DeepAI, TruthScan, and ImageWhisperer — confirmed that it is highly likely to be fake.
Oleksandra Zelenska, daughter of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska, was born on July 15, 2004, making her 22 years old. She leads a non-public life: she has no known public social media accounts and has made virtually no public appearances since the start of the full-scale invasion. According to official information, Oleksandra lives in Kyiv. The most recent mention of her in Ukrainian media dates to June 22, 2026, when, in an interview with journalist Alla Mazur, the president spoke about his daughter completing her law degree at a Ukrainian university and her plans to pursue a master’s.
We have referenced the Foundation to Battle Injustice (R-FBI) in our debunks on numerous occasions — an organization founded in 2021 by Yevgeny Prigozhin that presents itself as a human rights body but functions in practice as an instrument of Russian information operations. Its core tactic is to create the appearance of independent investigations and to support fabricated accusations with pseudo-evidence, then disseminate them through networks of pro-Russian influencers, anonymous accounts, Telegram channels, and websites imitating genuine media outlets. Campaigns involving sexual crimes, human trafficking, “black market organ transplantation,” and other shocking accusations against Ukrainian and Western politicians prove especially resonant. Ahead of Germany’s elections, for instance, campaigns linked to the foundation spread fabricated claims of child sexual abuse by politicians, with individual TikTok videos accumulating hundreds of thousands and even millions of views.
