Polish Association of Journalists has published the book I’m a Journalist. Why Are You Beating Me? containing stories of Belarusian journalists repressed by Alexander Lukashenko’s regime. The e-book in Polish, English and Russian can be downloaded for free from the page of the Polish Association of Journalists. Ukrainian and Belarusian language versions are coming soon.

[this] is a book that expresses the solidarity journalists from Ukraine and Poland feel towards Belarusian colleagues who have suffered and continue to suffer from the repressions of the Lukashenko regime. All the journalists in this book, regardless of whether they were beaten or imprisoned for participating in peaceful protests, were simply doing their jobs! It is difficult to believe that such things are going on in Europe in the 21st century. The testimonies of these Belarusian journalists tell of brutal beatings, the violation of human dignity, injuries, psychological trauma and complete disregard for their rights as journalists.
